Lee Steadman - Director
Lee incorporates over a quarter century of experience as an accomplished artist, entrepreneur, educator and environmentalist into his position as the Director of BLOOM. His art has appeared nationwide in university galleries, one-person exhibitions and invitational art shows. Lee has served on numerous boards of trustees, including his current position on the PA Council of the Arts.
Sara Harris – Wellness Coordinator
Sara offers a one of a kind first experience to BLOOM’s campus. Her welcoming smile and jazzy demeanor uplift all who visit. She supports in the coordination of activities, visitors and social media. Sara also runs the Schaaf Gallery, selling unique works of art created in BLOOM’s Carriage House Studio. Sara is also a Registered Yoga Teacher who enjoys sharing the benefits of yoga on and off the mat; assisting in growing wellness and yoga offerings at BLOOM.
Vanessa Mazza – Art Therapist
Vanessa holds a BS in Psychology, MA in Art Therapy and is a board certified Art Therapist. She contributes both on a creative and clinical level at BLOOM. “My goal here is to guide each individual to discover his or her own innate creativity and to connect with it in a way that makes each person feel empowered and whole.”
Kathie Nicholls – Jewelry Specialist
Kathie turned her passion for jewelry into a fun and rewarding teaching position at BLOOM. A self-taught jewelry artist, she has been designing, creating, and selling her unique jewelry pieces throughout the Erie area for over 10 years.
Pat Smith – Art Educator
Pat is a retired art educator from the General McLane School District, who has taught at the Carriage House Studio for the past eight years. She has received numerous awards and accomplishments over the years with the most recent being the 2010 Pennsylvania Art Education Association’s Outstanding Retired Art Educator award. Whether referring to her elementary students, BLOOM artists, her grandchildren or even herself; Pat feels, “The art of teaching is simply to awaken the curiosity of the mind.”
Ed Grout – Professional Glass Artist
Ed has been a professional glass artist for over 35 years. He teaches our community the wonderful and mystical qualities of glass. “My approach to art is voyage beyond rationality and materialism, reestablishing a connection with imagination in order to discover the wholeness of who we are. Art is the endeavor to stir the spirit and move us all to a more interactive experience.”
Norine Gammon – Yoga Instructor
Norine has been practicing and teaching yoga since 2007. Her roots began under the guidance of Iyengar instructors but truly blossomed into a way of life. She believes yoga is a journey of the body, mind, and spirit connection and pathway to inner peace. Although she enjoys a challenging vinyasa flow she loves the time to be still and flow with the rhythms of life. Norine believes that yoga quiets the mind, strengthens the body, and opens the heart and spirit to all possibilities. “When you know how to listen, everyone is your guru.” ~Ram Dass
