Message from Lee Steadman, Director of BLOOM:

All Bloom classes are closed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19). We miss our creative community gathering here and still believe strongly in the positive effects that art has on our health. Draw, paint or create however you can on your own till this passes. It will help you stay calm and focused on the positive.  We cannot wait to see what beautiful creations you’ve made on your own time!

Stay Creative at Home!

Campus and Grounds

BLOOM Campus and Grounds

Five acres of green space in the center of the City of Erie are available to every BLOOM participant. Come take a walk through our tranquil and historic landscapes to experience a broader smile and overall sense of well-being.

Our studios look out upon the grounds and events can spill out into the gardens and take advantage of our creative interiors. Our wildflower garden is an inspiring place to enjoy on your own or with a friend. We hold many events on our grounds and we are open to sharing our space with you.

BLOOM Studios

carriagehouseThe Carriage House Studio

The Carriage House Studio is a uniquely renovated studio that offers full spectrum lighting. Mimicking natural sunlight, the light received in our art studio effectively treats seasonal affective disorder (SAD), supporting your body’s natural circadian rhythm.

BLOOM also believes in hot coffee, warm smiles and good music.

This one-of-a-kind studio offers a variety of classes and workshops dedicated to guiding you to create, discover and thrive.

Drawing, painting, mixed media, crafts and fused glass are some of the mediums offered. Other than group demonstrations, every student is given space to express themselves with in the space and confines of our studio.

Fees include materials unless told otherwise.

BLOSSOM’s Clay Studio

The latest addition to the BLOOM family is BLOSSOM’s Clay Studio, a charming, warm studio filled with a calming atmosphere. This one-floor studio will introduce the arts to individuals who have little or no exposure to the art of pottery. The new studio is barrier-free and handicap accessible for those with disabilities.

Newly crafted and infused with natural light, BLOSSOM’S provides everything you need to transform raw clay to finished form. This inventive space invites creativity and provides an opportunity that is unmatched in the region for using clay as a means to heal, grow and connect others in the community.

Artists of all skill levels can mold their earthy spirit by throwing a pot, forming a sculpture or just working their hands into the clay.

Fees include materials unless told otherwise.
